The great (f)arms race.
Let’s face it, the only people who really care about this election are political geeks and farmers. I’ve covered the political geekery in the last post, so now on to the farmers.
The Common Agricultural Policy is where, for some, the European Elections are lost or won. The European Parliament have nearly €50 billion to dish out in subsidies and grants, and believe you me, this money is the most divisive cash cow (pardon the pun) Europe has to offer.
So, who’s getting their nose in the trough for the farmers? Who’s bleating on about the UK Rebate… and who’s just out feeding the ducks…? Flickr is a great tool for letting us have a wee look at our cadidates ’”culchie cred”.
