Up the nordies – Irish Blog Awards 2010.

Well done to the smattering of Northern Irish blogs who made the 2010 Irish Blog Awards shortlist.

As you can see, us Nordies focus on quality, not quantity in blogging terms.

Best Technology Blog/Blogger – Matt Johnston (Cimota)
Best Humour Blog – White Rabbit NI  and Well Done Fillet
Best News/Current Affairs Blog – Splintered Sunrise
Best Political Blog – Slugger O’Toole

And as for me, I’m up against 4 very good Irish Times blogs in the Best Blog From A Journalist category… which is kinda like Crusaders FC lining up opposite Barcelona in the Champions League.

Let’s just say after 1 proper year freelancing, I’m happy to be there.

So, thanks to the judges, sponsors (mine being BVisable, an Irish PR company) and the organisers. The event itself is always good craic.

Also, go’wan the mighty Arseblog for the Best Sport And Recreation Blog.

Yeeeooo!

Good on y’all.

Although, if I wrote a blog, it would clearly come first in every category.

You can only be nominated in 1 category stephen, but I doubt that would stop you.

I think you should write a blog about shane.

Go Nordies, delighted to make the shortlist in the humour section myself if not the grand final but saying as what I didn’t know what a blog was until August I think I did okay. Good luck to the others from north of the Mason-Dixon, especially those in the humour category.
